While yoga studios are as ubiquitous as Starbucks, Pilates has maintained a relatively below-the-radar cult status. Perhaps daunted by the somewhat intimidating Reformer (the pulley-outfitted contraption that is the center of most workouts) or lofty studio fees, many have shied away from the storied discipline. Now three new inventions offer a more accessible and affordable way to obtain the coveted Pilates physique.
The CorePlus Reformer (out this December; $29.98, winsorpilates.com) is the latest weapon in Pilates grande dame Mari Winsor's anti-flab arsenal.
