Tackling the fear that routinely paralyzes a person is no small matter. I realized there were two ways to approach the rest of my life--in fear or in faith.

I was a washed-in-the-blood-of-the-Lamb believer, but I wasn't a woman living by faith. I was consumed by all sorts of unspoken fears and a phobia or two. I was like the woman who built a fence in the yard to keep the kids safe, but fearing that the kids might climb that one, built another, then another, and then another, until nobody could get in or out the front door.
