Given the shortened congressional calendar and partisan tensions that come with an election year, many have expressed skepticism that Congress will enact major health care legislation in 2004. But an American Hospital Association-commissioned poll, conducted jointly by Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg and Republican pollster Bill McInturff, suggests that the public at least may be supportive of action on the uninsured and other reforms.
