"Pavlov's Dogs and American Education," by Samuel L. Blumenfeld (TNA, September 29, 2008), is a very informative and educational essay on who was responsible for American education going to socialism's (progressive) "dogs" by way of John Dewey's "Dismal System" of education destruction. But how did it sweep through America's public education in a mere 20 years?

That came from the diabolic malevolence of the socialists' beliefs of "we know what's best for the people" and their arrogance of making sure "the people will have it." Blumenfeld failed to mention that John Dewey became president of the very well established and accepted educational organization, the National Education Association (NEA), of excellent teachers in 1932 who knew nothing about socialists and their socialistic beliefs, the "progressives" of the time.

The NEA published a "Weekly Reader" distributed to grade-school children in the classes. I was in the fourth or fifth grade ...
