(From The Journal)
Byline: KAREN DENT
WHEN I'm not sat behind my computer at The Journal, I can usually be found sat on my horse, or up to my elbows in something horse-related.
That is not a figure of speech - I usually am elbow or knee deep in mud, hay or muck.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever be one of those elegant, well groomed horsey girls who manage to avoid equine slobber on their shirts and never have wisps of hay in their hair. I seem to be a magnet for muck.
They are out there though. I know a few myself and they people the pages of the horsey mail order catalogues that drop through my letterbox twice a year.
The women who stride across these pages have lives that bear little resemblance to mine.
