EMMA Bell became interested in fashion at a very young age, using any opportunity she could to get her clothes-making hands on her grandmother's sewing machine.
"I always wanted to dictate my own wardrobe and would spend hours dressing up in my grandma's evening gowns," she says.
As a talented teenager, Emma, now 25, from Kingston Park, Newcastle, never actually studied textiles during her time at Ponteland Community High School, but she always geared her art projects towards fashion.
