The deux gamines behind this Paris label reveal their globe-trotting style.

ALIX PETIT: Heimstone began in 2006. We started doing knotted bracelets, and swimsuits made out of vintage rock tees--Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones. A producer friend in New York was working on a movie with Uma Thurman, who ended up ordering a swimsuit. That was incredible! From there, we expanded into short, graphic dresses and tiny jackets, in leather in particular--we love leather! We want them to fit like your little sister's Perfecto biker jacket.

DELPHINE DELAFON:

We design what we want to wear and what we hope other girls will, too: clothes that are modern and urban. The dresses are feminine, yet we also like to toughen them up with studs or snaps . . . we don't like to get too girly.
