Comment: A 56-year-old woman presented with weakness, asthenia, weight loss and jaundice. She was taking citalopram (Celexa) 20 mg/day for three weeks. She reported no alcohol or drug use and no blood transfusions. She had no history of liver disease. A physical exam revealed a mild hepatomegaly without signs of chronic liver disease. Abdominal ultrasound suggested an acute hepatitis. Because the etiology of the acute liver injury was unclear, a biopsy was performed.
