Adnams is looking to expand in the off-trade in the face of increasingly tough on-trade conditions.
This year the company is launching four premium bottled beers a nd is planning five new Cellar & Kitchen stores , with an eventual target of 30 by 2012.
Executive chairman Jonathan Adnams said: "The beer market was down 4% overall but last year we managed to hold our volumes level with the previous year, so we think that was a pretty good performance.
