Faculty members at San Antonio College are accusing the school of asking adjuncts to teach course loads that would allow them to earn benefits, but pretend that they are still below the limit.
Part-timers who teacher 12 credits or more per semester are entitled to benefits and higher pay. However, some faculty members turned over notarized documents that had an adjunct certifying he would waive one credit of pay to put him within the 12-credit limit, even though he would be teaching just over 12 credits.
