IIF director says western Europe, U.S must help eastern Europe alleviate social costs of financial crisis.

Budapest, October 17, 2008 (MTI-ECONEWS) - Western Europe and the United States are to blame for the present financial crisis, therefore they must support eastern Europe in order to alleviate the social costs of the crisis, Institute of International Finance (IIF) Managing Director Charles H. Dallara said at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.

Mr Dallara met Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany earlier on Friday.
