A Creche in Withywood has closed and a holiday play scheme is under threat after funding dried up.
Mothers who used the creche said it would be a major loss to the area as private nurseries were too expensive.
Now there are concerns that the WASPS holiday play scheme, also based at the Withywood Centre in Queens Road, could close too.
Both are run by Tracey Phillips, 46, who is being made redundant.
She said: "The creche was funded by Neighbourhood Renewal and Awards for All lottery money and there is not a lot left.
