The award-winning firm behind Wallace and Gromit has teamed up with the BBC to produce the title sequence for the 2008 European Football Championships.
Aardman Animations is producing a sequence that will include animated versions of international football players from the English Premier League, including Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, Chelsea's Michael Ballack, Arsenal's William Gallas and Liverpool striker Fernando Torres, as well as former Rangers midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso, and legendary Dutch player and manager, Marco van Basten.
The sequence is set in an Austrian opera house and the stage is set for five of the most talented players due to appear in the Championships.
BBC executive producer Phil Bigwood said: "We wanted the title sequence to reflect just how much footballing talent viewers can expect to see at the Euros."
