A grandmother and pillar of the community has died, at 77, after collapsing at her home just three days after returning from a holiday in Spain.
Betty Flower and her husband Ron had lived in the village of High Littleton, near Bath, since 1966 and were described as popular members of the community.
Mrs Flower was born and educated in Midsomer Norton, one of four daughters. After leaving school she went to work at Welton printing works.
A mutual love of dancing, which they retained throughout their marriage, brought Mr and Mrs Flower together at Bob's Palais in Midsomer Norton and they were married at St John's Church in the town.
They spent the early years of their marriage with Mrs Flower's mother but Mr Flower then built his own home in Peasedown St John and was later to do the same in High Littleton.
