It seems the death knell may finally have sounded for the NHS, 60 years after the dream was made a reality by the Labour Party. Many now take the NHS for granted but we only have to go back to 1948 when health care was a luxury that not everyone was able to afford.

This service has made a huge difference to millions of lives.

Sadly it is an institution that often makes the news for the wrong reasons instead of the fact that it has saved and improved the lives of so very many.

Now it seems that NHS Trusts, including some in the West, that are struggling to cope with ever-increasing Government targets, may see private companies brought in to improve their flagging performance.
