For any chamber music coach, the teaching of ensemble playing presents a multitude of issues. This panel was devoted to the realities of the actual rehearsal: a nuts-and-bolts look at activities that would transport a student group from point A to point B in the most efficient manner. The panelists considered both activities that the coach/teacher could do to effect change within the coaching session, as well as ideas for making the student groups' rehearsal more successful without a teacher/coach present. The panel consisted of two string players, a vocalist and a pianist, and was moderated by Janice Wenger.
