Terry Lewis, most recently Yamaha's executive vice president, as well as president of Yamaha Artist Services, Inc. in New York City, retired from the company, following a 26-year career.
Lewis joined Yamaha in July of 1982 as a district manager in the company's keyboard division. Since then, he held several positions becoming senior vice president in 1997 and executive vice president in 2007. He led the company's Music Marketing Group since its formation in 2002 and had served as president of Yamaha Artist Services, Inc. since its beginnings in 2004.
Following Lewis' retirement, YCA has promoted both Rick Young and Tom Sumner to the position of senior vice president.
Young and Sumner have most recently served as YCA corporate vice presidents and each has more than two decades of experience working at Yamaha. They plan to jointly lead the newly formed Customer Sales and Marketing (CSM) Group, a companywide initiative designed to align YCA with the needs of a broad base of select dealers, top artists, world-class performance venues and leading academic and institutional facilities.
