Oftentimes in life, a little bit of something is beneficial, sometimes even necessary. But just because a little bit is good, it doesn't always follow that more is better. Many times, that just makes things worse. A classic example is government. Some government is necessary, in order to secure our fights and protect us from the harmful actions of others.
