In the September 1 issue of TNA in the news updates section is a piece about Russia invading Georgia. All of the news I am reading says that Georgia invaded South Ossetia and has been courting NATO and buying weapons from the United States. Please get your facts correct before jumping on board with the mainstream media's interpretation of this event. Only the mainstream media is reporting that Russia is to blame. Everyone else in the world practically is reporting the correct story. We should not jump on the Russia-bashing bandwagon just because they are Russia.

As a new subscriber to THE NEW AMERICAN and a new JBS member, I thought I could count on the TNA to remain objective and present facts in reporting. Your article in the Inside Track, "Russia Invades, Bombs Georgia" was factually incorrect.
Georgian troops had invaded and murdered 2,000 South Ossetian civilians before any Russians fired a shot. It was not a "surprise attack" on Georgia, but an attempt to stop genocide from taking place.
I understand that geopolitical opinions abound, and TNA has its opinions, but I would not expect the changing or omitting of any facts in your reporting. That is the mainstream media's job. This is highly disappointing.
