Emirates CEO rules out interest in Alitalia, Austrian Airlines.

MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Dubai-based airline Emirates is not interested in Alitalia SpA, its chief executive Tim Clark said in an interview to daily La Repubblica on Wednesday.

"I rule it out. Someone said we were interested. But it has never been true," the newspaper quoted Clark as saying.

He also ruled out an interest for Austrian Airlines and said the company is able to grow alone and is not worried about the economic recession.
