Bulls head coach Jim Leavitt has the ultimate confidence in him and last week asked the team's elder statesman what he thought about changing field goal kickers.

Burnham didn't hesitate, recommending Leavitt go with untested true freshman Maikon Bonani. He had seen him at Lake Wales High School and liked his athleticism and mental toughness.

Bonani made Burnham look like a genius when he kicked the game-winning 43-yard field goal with no time left in the Bulls 37-34 victory over Kansas Friday night.
