WTSP chooses 'Dr. Phil' over U.S. Open final.

Each CBS affiliate made its own decision to carry the U.S. Open or regularly scheduled programming and, apparently, somebody at WTSP decided that it was more important to air the scheduled showing of an episode of Dr. Phil than it was to bring to its audience the weather-delayed men's tennis final.

WTSP made the decision Monday afternoon and announced it on its Web site. It did offer the match to customers with a high definition package and it was also shown in a Webcast format on the internet.

To be fair, the CBS affilate in Fort Myers made the same decision.
