Google makes sharper web trends tool

Google is set to launch a product that is designed to let businesses dig deeper into internet trends.

The search company said that its Insights for Search tool was more flexible and functional than Google Trends and would give more in-depth analysis into what people were searching for on the web.

Insights for Search supports searches for trends over time, by region, category and top and rising related terms.
