European consumers group BEUC has called for the European Commission to investigate Google's proposed takeover of online advertising group DoubleClick, writes the Guardian. BEUC, backed by consumers in Germany, Italy and Spain, suggests in a letter to the competition commissioner Neelie Kroes that the deal "may have a negative impact on the selection of online content available to consumers and on privacy". ...
