The new legislation on genetically modified organisms will have to reconcile the EU regulations, which allow them to be grown and sold on the EU market, and the stance of Polish government, which is in favour of placing a ban on GMOs in our country. According to the deputy Minister of Agriculture, Maciej Trzeciak, the new legislation will allow GMOs to be grown, yet, only on the condition that it will not pose any threat to the natural environment and traditional agriculture.
