And the hologram goes to "Oktapodi," which won Best of Show during SIGGRAPH's new (and improved) Computer Animation Festival.
To win this honor and the gorgeous holographic image (see "Labor of Love," August 2008), jurors selected "Oktapodi" from more than 700 entries in 30 countries. The win qualifies the film, which also received the Audience Prize, to compete for a 2009 Oscar.
Also taking top honors and a second hologram at the festival was "Mauvais Role," which won a Jury Award over four other entries.
