The introduction of euro will open Poland the way to great civilisational changes. The sooner the new currency is adopted, the earlier they will take place. And if Poland insists on keeping the national currency, they may not take place at all.
The conclusion that it is no longer sensible to persist with the national currency is being reached by an increasing number of European countries. Slovakia will join the European Monetary Union in four months. Lithuania will do it in two years' time, Estonia in three. Bulgaria and Romania have already set the target dates.
