LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Leading shares look set to open higher Wednesday after Wall Street rallied overnight as oil prices fell back and as investors hope the Bank of England minutes will show that there will not be a rate hike in the near future.

Spread bettors IG Index see the FTSE 100 index opening 45.6 points higher at 5,406 after closing Tuesday down 40.2 points at 5,364.1.
