Schroders fund manager Andrew Yeadon tells Anna Lawlor why his confidence in equities is so strong
In the present market conditions optimists are hard to find, let alone one operating in the Balanced Managed sector. But despite the current market turbulence Andrew Yeadon, manager of the GBP430.8m Schroder Managed Balanced fund, remains committed to equities.
"I don't believe in selling equities when they're flat on their backs," he says. As proof of his conviction he has moved the fettered, multi-managed fund of funds from its more defensive stance at the start of 2008 to its present "middle" position, poised to take advantage of a potential stock market rally within the next three months.
