Tracy Shaw, aged 40, showed no emotion as she was found guilty of murdering Victor Spence at his home on Barnby Dun Road, Doncaster, in the early hours of March 1.It took just 90 minutes for the jury to find her guilty of murdering the lorry driver and father-of-one, described by his family as a "gentle, caring and devoted family man".Shaw had admitted stabbing him but denied murder.Sentencing her to life imprisonment, the Recorder of Sheffield Judge Alan Goldsack QC said: "Your weapon of choice was a knife. You had armed yourself with it sometime before you used it to kill a" it was intentional killing."In a victim impact statement read to the court Mr Spence's sister, Jackie Spence, said her 57-year-old brother had been planning to move back to Wolverhampton to be near his family in his retirement."Bringing him dead in a box is not how he or our family wanted him to come home," she said."In a split second Victor's life has been wiped out and the heart of our family has been ripped out a" he has been cruelly and prematurely taken from us."Jackie added Victor's daughter Gail, who was expecting his second grandchild, was devastated by his death.She added: "This will scar us all forever.
