Kitchen upgrades.(Letter to the editor)
Great job on the kitchen-remodel issue, (August 2008), but your review of over-the-range microwave ovens was missing the two most important factors to me and others who I've talked to: fan-noise decibels and an oven's ability to draw steam and smoke. I can't tell you how annoying it is to buy a unit with a fan that sounds like a jet airplane taking off, only to watch steam from your pot move round and round, going nowhere.
