A hefty fine could be imposed on representatives of Western Wines for a breach of packaging recycling standards.
Representatives of the company failed to meet the Environment Agency's new rules on packaging, Telford Magistrates' Court has heard. The company was based in Telford, Shropshire, but has been integrated into Constellation Europe since last year.
In a case brought by the Environment Agency, the court heard that from 2003 to 2005 Western Wines had failed to meet the agency's new standards .
