Look out for much more than Malbec among a diverse offering from Argentina's wineries.
La Riojana will be showing its recently launched organic range Ecologica (AGBP5.99), the reserve range Valdevina (AGBP5.99) and Fairtrade wines La Posada Shiraz and ATorrontAs, both AGBP4.99. The Rioja-based producer is also keen to establish its higher premium Raza wines, which include Malbec, Syrah and TorrontAs offerings from AGBP7.99 to AGBP14.99 for its top Malbec. Trivento, owned by Chile's Concha y Toro, is launching a series of wines from AGBP7 in a bid to develop the premium end of its portfolio. Look out for Golden Reserve Chardonnay and Syrah, and Amado Sur, a blend of Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah. There is also a trio of new wines for the specialist wine sector under the Collecion Fincas label - a Syrah, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc. Eolo 2005, a blend of 90% Malbec and 10% Syrah, made from a high-altitude Avineyard in LujAn de Cuyo that dates back to 1912, will also make its debut. Positioned at AGBP35-AGBP40, it is a joint collaboration between Trivento's head winemaker Federico Galdeano and Don Melchor's head winemaker Enrique Tirado. Stand T50 Trapiche head winemaker Daniel Pi will show new wines for the Broquel range - Cabernet Franc 2006 from Mendoza and TorrontAs 2007 from the northern Aprovince of Salta (rrp AGBP7.99). The ...
