Interested in a workhorse PC monitor for work first, gaming and watching movies second? NEC's new 17in Multisync LCD1770NX may not have a widescreen display, but it is relatively cheap for the brand.

This display has a resolution of 1,280x1,024 pixels and a good brightness rating, along with two fairly good speakers, It has both analogue (VGA) and digital (DVI) inputs.
