Powered access equipment specialist Lavendon says it is focused on winning contracts for some of the biggest construction projects in and around London.
The Lutterworth firm, the European market leader in the rental of powered access machinery, is already supplying equipment to contractors building a shopping park as part of the London 2012 Olympics.
Managers are also aiming to secure work on building projects at Heathrow Airport and the GBP16 billion Crossrail project.
The company revealed its ambitions after reporting a 43 per cent rise in half-year profits, despite the construction slump.
Lavendon made a pre-tax profit of GBP11.9 million in the six months to June 30.
Revenue for the same period rose by 40 per cent to GBP116.4 million.
