Not only did the kids return to school on August 28, but also the congestion and poor road protocols returned to the Pork Pie roundabout and the Lutterworth Road junction.
Presumably, the woman who refused to let me filter in on Glenhills Boulevard thought I was "pushing in".
The new layout of the Pork Pie should increase the quantity of traffic moving over the lights at any one time. Unfortunately, the second lane, in both directions, is hardly used.
I attribute this to the failure of drivers to merge like a "zip" on the other side, and no-one wants to battle for a place every morning and evening.
