A woman was slapped about the head and face by a man for refusing to give him a cigarette.

The victim was travelling on the number 14 Arriva bus service heading out of Leicester towards Braunstone Frith when she was assaulted.

A man approached her asking for a cigarette, but when she told him she had none he struck her before getting off the bus near Henley Road, in Leicester, and headed towards Glenfield Road.
