East Yorks: Graham Stuart MP has taken up the case of a Zimbabwean soldier serving in the British Army who has been told he will not be allowed to fight until he passes a citizenship test.
Mr Stuart, Conservative MP for Beverley and Holderness, is supporting Bombardier Alistair Smith, of Leconfield, who must answer a series of questions on British values and traditions before being allowed a British passport. Mr Stuart said Bombardier Smith's situation was also complicated by issues in his former country.
