(From Hull Daily Mail)
Excel Hull Stingrays have been left counting the cost of their Yorkshire Cup clashes with Sheffield Steelers.
Defenceman Paul Moran is out for at least a fortnight after dislocating his shoulder in Stingrays' 10-4 defeat on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Curtis Cruickshank will have x-rays today after being hit in the ribs by the puck during last night's 5-2 return leg defeat.
Losing Cruickshank would be a major blow for Stingrays ahead of their Elite League opener against Manchester Phoenix at Hull Arena on Saturday.
However, coach Rick Strachan said: "Curtis got hit in the ribs on Saturday and caught the puck in the same spot last night.
"There's no point in chancing things at this stage so we're sending him for x-rays to be checked out.
