One of the Hull's greatest sons was honoured with a huge open-air party this weekend.
The Freedom Festival took place on Saturday over a marathon 10-and-a-half hours and included performances by bands, Bollywood dancers, theatre acts and many other arts attractions.
The extravaganza was organised to celebrate freedom and the work of former Hull MP William Wilberforce, who was instrumental in passing the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act in 1807.
The Magic Numbers were headlining the festival, which saw bands from across the country perform.
The line-up for the one-day event also included folk-punks Noah And The Whale, who are currently riding high in the charts with Five Years Time.
