West Hull: A motorist who ploughed down a pedestrian and drove off has been jailed for two years.
Matthew Luke Reveley, 20, of Oban Avenue, was driving to see a friend at Hull Royal Infirmary on March 15, when he hit 41-year-old Steven Clayton.
Hull Crown Court heard how Reveley hit Mr Clayton in Anlaby Road and then carried on to the hospital.
Reveley was driving from Biarritz bar in George Street, city centre, with four friends. He had not been drinking, so offered to take the friends to see another friend, who had been taken to hospital after having their drink spiked.
