(From Bristol Evening Post)
The sudden closure of a post office in Knowle has left customers baffled.
The Wells Road branch, at number 323, has been closed since Thursday without explanation.
When contacted by the Evening Post, representatives from Royal Mail said they were unable to go into detail about the reason for the closure but said they were trying to reopen it.
Jane Thomas, spokeswoman for Royal Mail, said: "Knowle Post Office closed due to circumstances beyond our control and we are now making efforts to reopen the branch.
"We apologise to customers for the inconvenience. In the meantime alternative branches are in Knowle Park, Totterdown and Sandy Park."
Lyn Forbes, who works at the Knowle Park branch, said: "We don't know why it closed.
