THE GOOD: "My trainer, Todd, makes me feel fabulous at the gym by reminding me that I'm looking stronger and pushing me to get to the last set. And my friends know exactly how to keep me in line. Recently, I was craving junk food. As soon as the words 'I want some curly fries' were out of my mouth, my friend came right back at me with, 'Nope, you don't. I know you don't need them, and you know you don't need them.' Her tone was all business, and there was no way I could argue with that."
THE BAD: "When my friends beg me to come out for drinks and I know I should be going to the gym, that's the hardest part. Sometimes it makes me resent exercise--if my friends don't have to do it, why should I? And I still find it really hard to get up in the morning, which is one of the reasons I've had a tough time losing weight. I was recently out late with my boyfriend, and I had to be at the gym at 8 A.M. the next day. We both knew that I should have gone to bed earlier. I didn't make it to the gym, and I still feel guilty about it."
