Some women make the mistake of wearing old shorts, a man's T-shirt, and ratty sneakers to the gym. If you dress well to exercise, you'll feel better--and work out so much harder.
Study the basics. My outfit's foundation is always black or navy pants. Look for a pair made from thick, high-quality Lycra (I really like Lululemon's). They should be fitted around the butt and thighs, looser below the knee, flared slightly at the bottom, and brushing the top of your sneakers. If it's sweltering or you're biking, go for fitted leggings that end just below the knee.
Be discreet. We've all seen women in outfits that are far too revealing for the gym. You send a much sexier message in well-fitted tops that show off your shape but also communicate that you're there to work--hard.
