After spending the day in and out of the ocean or pool, it can be tempting to hide your hair under a hat, but don't give in. The key is to work with--not against--your natural texture.
Pack with a plan. Keep a wide-tooth comb and a few elastics in your beach bag, as well as a product that suits your specific hair type. Volumizing sprays give straight hair texture and body, while curl-activator sprays keep your natural waves from going limp. If your hair is curly, you should always have some kind of smoothing cream with you. It's the best way to discourage frizz and flyaways.
Scrunch it. Regardless of your hair's texture, shaping it while it's wet will ensure that it looks good both damp and dry. Squeeze out the excess water, and use a wide-tooth comb to detangle ...
