WHAT IT IS: Estee Lauder TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara. WHAT IT DOES: The motorized wand vibrates to push mascara deep into the lash bed while separating the lashes, according to the company. WHAT'S IN IT: Olive oil, paraffin, mica, and pigment (plus a battery). HOW IT WORKS: The pulsating wand is supposed to soften the mascara so it glides on easier, then cause lashes to spring apart. "The motion of the wand is similar to the movements a woman uses when she's trying to separate her lashes," says George Kress, Estee Lauder's vice president of Corporate Packaging Innovations.
