SEOUL, Aug. 31 Asia Pulse - The Hyundai Motor Co. (KSE:05380) and its affiliate Kia Motors Corp. (KSE:005380) said Sunday that they are targeting an annual production of over six million vehicles in 2010, or a 9 per cent share of the global market.
Hyundai and Kia together sold 3.96 million vehicles worldwide last year, ranking sixth in the world.
The long-term plan by Hyundai and Kia calls for increasing their overseas vehicle output to over 3 million units by 2010 from 1.73 million in 2007, in addition to their domestic output of about 3 million vehicles.
Hyundai Motor, which already has plants in India, China and the United States, is pushing to build factories in Russia ...
