They do everything from vetting manuscripts to choreographing a sea of clothing racks as gracefully as a ballet. And while VOGUE assistants are tasked with duties that might seem daunting (ever try to track down a Lanvin perfume from 1933 or get a visa issued from a country under a state of emergency?), looking chic is not one of them.
