Stereoscopic 3D moviemaking is finally coming into its own, and I couldn't be more excited. I've been a fan of the medium since back in the days when it wasn't necessarily comfortable to watch--giant meteors and spear-throwing aside, a headache and a queasy stomach can be a high price to pay for an evening's entertainment.
Technology has come a long way since then, and we're now able to produce vastly improved stereo 3D images. As with all new filmmaking tools, there's always an adjustment period before a technology is truly integrated into a filmmaker's arsenal.
