Two exhibitions this summer highlight some of the myriad ways art and politics impacted each other in the United States during the twentieth century. At the Wolfsonian in Florida, A Bittersweet Decade: The New Deal in America, 1933-1943 considers the effects of the government's patronage of art, design, and architecture through Fraklin Dealno Roosevelt's New Deal programs.
